The reality of leaving an abusive environment is that victims are often left without a place to live. And, because of the urgency in escaping, victims have little or no time to gather belongings which means that these families are without clothing, food, money, or personal care items.

HUGS II assists with child care (temporary and long term), food, clothing, diapers, personal care items, emergency shelter, transportation (to court, counseling, job training, employment, support services) and financial assistance for child care and relocation expenses.

When a family remains at their residence, often in the case of court battles and restraining orders, HUGS II provides home security surveys (including lock changes), and limited financial assistance for household expenses.

If there is any way you can be of help, with money, time, donations, or commodities, please contact HUGS II. We rely on your generosity to meet the needs of the families in our program. We appreciate any and all contributions.
