The H.U.G.S. II Community Service Scholarship ($500.00) domestic violence while assisting victims and their families. Our chapter in Easton, H.U.G.S. II, emphasizes community activities that promote safety awareness. Our programs include the annual Walk for Family Safety, funding the after school program at the Middle School, and co-sponsoring educational programs at the schools about bullying, adolescent relationships and dating violence. This scholarship is dedicated to Marianne Musto, a beloved member of H.U.G.S. II who passed away in August 2006. Marianne epitomized volunteerism. She was a long time Red Cross volunteer and donated countless hours of service to H.U.G.S. II, including serving on our executive board. Her social worker background assisted her in helping victims of domestic violence. Through the naming of this scholarship in her memory, we hope to honor Marianne’s commitment to community service for years to come.
