Events of 2002

The money raised from these events helps HUGS II continue our important work in the community. Without our volunteers and participants, these events would not be possible. The success of these fundraisers is shared with every individual and team who helped us reach our goal. Thank you!

Walk For Family Safety~2002

HUGS II and the Easton Family Violence Task Force held their 4th annual Walk For Family Safety on October 5, 2002. Just as the previous walks, the fundraiser was a huge success. With the collaborative efforts of all the individual and corporate volunteers, we raised $12,311 as well as providing an after school enrichment program for the Jr. High School students including a late bus for transportation home

The individuals who raised the most money were awarded trophies:

1st place: Harriet Goldstein - Raised $830
2nd place: Christine Zachem - Raised $490
3rd place: Betsy Hocking - Raised $375

The top three teams were also awarded trophies.

1st place: Swanbeck Family - Raised $800
2nd place: Easton Women of Today - Raised $445
3rd place: Townie Teachers - Raised $285

Annual Yard Sale~2002

The yard sale, held on May 4th, raised $953.

Donations~2002

On November 18th, HUGS presented a check for $ 4,500 to the Easton Recreation Dept. for the EJHS homework club and late bus.
