Walk For Family Safety~2001

HUGS II and the Easton Family Violence Task Force held their 3rd annual Walk For Family Safety on October 13, 2001. Just as the previous walks, the fundraiser was a huge success. With the collaborative efforts of all the individual and corporate sponsors, we raised over $12,000. These funds helped HUGS continue our important work in the community as well as providing an after school enrichment program for the Jr. High School students including a late bus for transportation home. Without our volunteers, this day would not have been possible. The success of this fundraiser is shared with every individual and team who helped us reach our goal. Thank you!

The individuals who raised the most money were awarded trophies:

1st place: Harriet Goldstein - Raised $750
2nd place: Noreen Faradie - Raised $640
3rd place: Betsy Hocking - Raised $500

The top three teams were also awarded trophies.

1st place: Easton Women of Today - Raised $532
2nd place: Swanbeck Family - Raised $514
3rd place: EJHS Student Council - Raised $438

Donations~2001

On December 6th, HUGS presented a check for $ 6,500 to the Easton Recreation Dept. for the EJHS homework club and late bus.
