The
2000 Walk For Safety Begins |
HUGS II and the Easton Family Violence Task Force held our 2nd annual Walk For Family Safety on Saturday October 14, 2000. Just as the 1999 walk, the fundraiser was a huge success. With the collaborative efforts of all the individual and corporate sponsors, we raised over $13,000! These funds helped HUGS continue our important work in the community as well as providing an after school enrichment program for the Jr. High School students including a late bus for transportation home. Without our volunteers, this day would not have been possible. The success of this fundraiser is shared with every individual and team who helped us reach our goal. Thank you!

The Jr. High students held a contest at the school to raise money for this walk and Hilliards generously donated all the candy for this contest. |
